Ok so there is a poll ! I'll explain the poll here if you liek:
We have recenently made a decision to upgrade to DirectX11 instead of staying on DirectX9. This will allow us access to a lot of new features, better graphics and overall a faster engine (will cause less lagg and bump frame rate up).
The decision here is, making it compatible for XP. it would increase the time to complete the game quite a lot, cause we would be almost creating 2 different versions of the game. Your call.
We are still doing a lot of engine work ! I guess we are still in that engine working phase, which is a shame. Because so much work needs to be done on the engine, no actual work gets done on the game itself. Currently as you know, we are finishing off the GUI part of the engine, the GUI itself wouldnt take us long at all to do. And now we have to switch to DirectX 11 lol yay more engine work !!
Though a lot of engine work has been done already, and thanks to that stuff like our maps can be built really quickly. Our whole alpha has pretty much been based around engine work ahah.
But next week i'll show you guys some images of the village im making. I have stabilized now so I have found time to work ect.
If engine work continues, it will be a long alpha ;D
