Re: Teashi's Art
There are a good few ways to make a wage out of Photography.
Model Photograper, General Photographer, News Photographer. Who do you think takes the pictures that end up on Magazines and Newspappers across the world every day?
Still, I never really understood Photography. I don't know what's considered a good and bad picture. Upload them pictures already!

There! They're not my first photo's, but my favorites taken for class projects so far! They were all taken in Downtown Chicago:)
Edit; They're not digital photos either, they were taken with a 35mm Camera which takes black and white (Obviously) photos that we need to develop!

I always say that a good photo captures the moment, in these, no moment is captured.

I'm a fool? Interesting. And it certainly seems your plan has worked.
Also, just because you don't see a meaning behind something doesn't mean theres no meaning at all.

Well... Sir.... You just made my brain explode... By saying that, you said that:
This is art:
(found it on google)
And this isn't:
(Random pic from deviantart...)
I'm sorry, but if you're stating that photography isn't art.. Thing again or I won't think of you any other way, but as a moron.

Re: Teashi's Art
Icetea what im saying is photos like the one you showed about the finger and heart I dont think are very good becuase to be honest I prefer photos which actually tell a story not ones that just look nice and thats what I mean by its bullshit cos that person was probally trying to be really deep by drawing that little haert or their finger but it really isnt to be honest.like this girl I know takes picture of like twigs and sunset and all but in the end its just a picture that doesnt tell me anything. were as something like this I think is better cos it actually tells me something so in al honesty I think the photo of that man in his boat is better cos it makes me think what is he doing there why is he smiling how did he get and all sorts of possiblititys were as the finger with the heart is just meh cos to be honest I could draw a heart on my finger and take a picture I dont really feel anything special about it I could take a picture of loads of things and make it look nice doesnt mean its art.im saying things that just look a bit pretty arent art and also I was just trying to pissed people of a bit for the fun of it,its quite thee conterversal subject and ps I would be more hurt if you would think of me as a idiot than a moron

For a second there I was like 'woah. 13 replies. I must be epic!' then I was like 'oh. its joninga' =P
Jo, ALL photography is art. Photography is the art of capturing time with light and creating a physical memory. There are photos like the one you posted, that simply remind us of times and events; and then there are photos like the ones I posted that are art in the way that they include things such as line, texture, shape, shallow depth-of-view, etc.
The one you posted isn't something you will often see in a museum though, thats just a picture to go along with a story imo.
...and icetea, a man in a boat would be a wonderful picture depending on where and how it was taken:)

Taken from a good profile, and with wind in the sails, and waves passing by, a pic of a man in a boat would be awesome.

Re: Teashi's Art
I'm in love with the guy in the boat, Eva let us see some color!
Well taken pictures, if you want a challenge try to get some movement into your pictures! I study media and I have a lot of problems with that, not taking a sharp picture but a picture with movement that looks and feels good ^^
